basis for a bilingual lesson is using English as much as possible, and
for this purpose you can use this document as a guide for classroom

1. Reduce teacher’s
performance time in the classroom

3. Promote pair and group work to keep students active = COLLABORATIVE LEARNING.
4. Work together with the rest of teachers = COLLABORATIVE TEACHING.
5. Give the same importance to all 5 skills in this order: LISTENING,
READING, SPEAKING-INTERACTION, WRITING.
6. Always use visual support for contents.
7. Use ICT resources: ppt, video, websearch, smartboard, audio recordings…
8. Use L2 as a vehicle for contents (min 50%, max 100%), L1 only for
emergencies and clarification.
9. Adopt a task-based approach according to the SCAFFOLDING principle (go from
simple to complex).
